A Touch of Scoundrel by SvenjaLiv A Touch of Scoundrel by SvenjaLiv
The painted version of this sketch. I'll be honest, I can't believe I actually did this. :faint: Looks like I'm getting the hang of digital painting after all. I'm ridiculously proud of this one.

But okay. Jagged Fel, warrior of the Hand and ridiculously talented flyboy. And the only one who can keep up with or even outfly Jaina. He's one of my favourite Star Wars characters, and I've come to love drawing him. For one thing, he almost always obliges me by turning out like I envisioned. So thank you Jag. :aww: That's a Chiss clawcraft in the background behind him, and my impression of Nirauan, including the Hand of Thrawn, at the bottom.

The title is from The Unifying Force, when Jaina tells Jag, "Maybe there is a touch of scoundrel in you, after all."

Media: Digital.
Time: 13 hours.
References: Based on this sketch. I looked at Soontir Fel on the cover of X-Wing: Mandatory Retirement, mostly for the chin and mouth. This for the clawcraft. And that's all.

Note: Don't take this and claim it's yours. If you want to use it anywhere, ask permission, and credit me in some form.

Star Wars belongs to George Lucas.

This looks awesome!
Lol, my first thought was that the highlights in his hair look a bit weird then I remembered he has a white strand in there... my memory is getting worse and worse but at least I remembered that before criticising it and making a fool out of myself. The highlights look actually really cool.
And the ship in the background is amazing. It really looks rather professional.
Great job, really.

Cheers! Heh, yeah, that white strand is SO annoying when you draw him in pencil, especially, because everyone thinks it's a highlight... :D But I'm glad you like this, thank you so much! :aww:

Thank you so much! The claw craft was pretty fun to do. I don't draw/paint spaceships often but they're pretty cool to do!

You're taking to digital media very well indeed! :D I like your layout, and your demonstration that you can handle technical/portrait/landscape painting with equal proficiency. And as for the choice of subjects - Jag is a fascinating character, and one I'm glad to see someone championing.

Now all this needs is the Star Wars header and some text, and this could be the cover of maybe a comic book.

Oooh, thank you! Heh, I'm flattered, I really am. I think I still have a hell of a lot to learn.

I love Jag, though. I don't know why, but he's just really interesting. I know some people call him "Captain Cardboard" but he's got layers, man! Layers! :D ... yes. Anyway.

You wouldn't by any chance like to make such a comic book, would you? Just sayin'. It'd be pretty cool. ;)

Not unless you're planning on scripting it! I can't write fic to save my life.

You seem to do fine, judging by the stuff I've read in your gallery! :D
