In this case, it was a competition someone organised, he provided the refs. But usually for celebrity portraits or fan art, I'll do a Google image search. For other drawings, I get them all over the place - deviantart, my own photos, magazines, calendars... everywhere!

I see! I just get a little nervous sometimes because people might get pissy having their photograph reproduced..
