I was looking through my art folder and realised that I hadn't posted this yet. Time to fix that, I think. It's an older piece from 2005, my first attempt at using metallic colouring pencils in a portrait, and part of what you could call a "series" if you wanted to get artsy about it. And you can probably guess who the other three pieces depict. 
I did base this on depictions of Hobbie in the Rogue Squadron comics, but I didn't use a direct reference, and tried to make him look a little less comic-like in the process.
Media: Metallic colouring pencils.
Time: 2 or 3 hours.
Reference: Star Wars: Rogue Squadron comic series.

"Two fighters against a Star Destroyer?" The best line from The Empire Strikes Back, even though A New Hope is my favorite. I don't mean to insult anyone; that's just my opinion. Hobbie kind of reminds me of Screech from Saved By The Bell, but not the same hair. Maybe it's the narrow face. But he also reminds me of someone who went to my high school who was also named Derek. We were just acquaintances, though we dueled each other for the attentions of a certain girl. Aside from all that, this is cool!
