I realised the other day that a) I'd never drawn Kyp Durron, and b) I really want to. So here's Kyp with Jaina Solo, ready for battle.

I'm hoping to put together a tutorial based on this drawing, so look for that soon-ish if you're interested in that sort of thing!

Media: Pencils on 90 g/m2 paper.
Time: 10 hours.
Dimensions: Less than A4.
References: The Japanese NJO covers and my imagination!

I love this picture! Kyp is one of my fave SW characters EVER, and I love the way you've portrayed him here. There is just something about his face that has...amazing character in this picture. Not just hot, but intriguing. And you did a great job on Jaina too - she looks really determined, even angry, in this picture. Makes me think of the time she went over to the dark side in the NJO (DJ) and Kyp helped her.

Thanks! I really need to redo this picture sometime, I think I can do a lot better now. :hmm: But I'm glad you like it! I was going for a slightly dark-side-y feel here actually, I had exactly that time in NJO in mind. So that's cool that it made you think of that. Thank you! :D

Wow! The expressions are just awesome and their poses look so natural.
Just something I always wondered: How much older than Jaina is Kyp?

Yay, that's great to hear, thank you!

As far as I know, Kyp's about 16 years older than Jaina. When he first shows up in the books, he's eighteen, and the twins are two, or two and a half. So yeah, about sixteen years.

They still look good together. But I think in the SW universe most people age slower anyway.
