Artist's Comments

Four months ago, I finally got some Bristol paper and started drawing this to see what it was like. This "paper test" took a bit longer than anticipated and surprised even me with the result, but here it is. It's a rendition of one of my favourite scenes - Han and Leia in the Falcon's hold. I really enjoyed drawing this and didn't want to stop, but it just got to the point where I knew I'd ruin it if I kept going. Overall I'd say this was definitely a challenge, but an enjoyable one, and I really like the paper.

So there we are, I hope you like this one!

Edit: Wow, I didn't expect a DD--thank you so much, this made my day! And thanks to everyone who has commented on this and added it to their :+fav:'s, I'm so grateful to you all! :aww:

Media: White Bristol paper, pencils, and putty eraser.
Time: Didn't count; over 20 hours, though.
Dimensions: 18.4 x 25 cm.

Details: Part 1 [link] and part 2 [link]

Note: Don't take this and claim it's yours. If you want to use it anywhere, ask permission, and credit me in some form.

The details on this are phenomenal; I'm also glad you chose the one Star Wars film where the love story was actually compelling :)

I agree with you there - Han and Leia were actually a believable, if very volatile, couple! I love their interaction. Thank you for your kind words, and for the :+fav: as well, they mean a lot!

This is beautiful! Your shading is perfect and I must say this is one of my favorite drawings of Han and Leia! I am so glad you drew this!

Love doesn't lead to the dark side. Passion can lead to rage and fear, and can be controlled, but passion is not the same as love. Controlling your passions while being in love, that's what they should teach you to beware, but love itself will save you
